Daily Devotion for Teens!

Youth Ministry

Youth is for teens currently in 7th through 12th grade. Our youth gather for Sunday School @ 9:15 and worship at 10:30. Youth group meets immediately following second service until 1:30. We enjoy a meal together, prepared by members of our congregation.

Throughout the year we participate in an awesome summer camp, mission trip, faith based movies, Warmth in Winter, etc.  The youth assist our church with V.B.S., Trunk or Treat, children’s church, and as nursery helpers. Spring and summer we participate in community outreach, which includes painting and yard clean-up for the LaVergne community.

Our focus: Loving God, ourselves, and our neighbors.

 Middle School Sunday School

Taught by Page Durham, this class is cuerrently studying a series based on the Star Wars movies!

We are learning and discussing what it means to be a Christian. What should we do or not do at school, home, fun outings, etc. How do we know the Bible is truth and how do we study it.

We also discuss middle school issues, such as gossip, cliques, bullying, teachers, etc…

Senior High School Class

The class is led by Mike and Tammy Beasley who are also youth volunteers.

Our goal is to keep the senior high students engaged by discussing and studying subjects that affect their everyday life. We strive to create a comfortable environment for all students to feel welcome and a part of the group. Our current curriculum is Rob Bell’s “ Love Wins” Future curriculum will be more of Rob Bell’s dvd series. Past curriculum has included the book “The Complaint Free World” and some lessons from Student Life studies.
